Our 60th Celebration Was a Great Success!
Fans and supporters of Heartland came out in force to celebrate 60 years of the amazing work we do here, building relationships and impacting lives for Jesus Christ! There were games and activities, swimming and horse back riding, face painting and archery. Live music was provided by Kim and the Quake. Yummy food was consumed. The party started at 2 pm and went on long into the evening, with those in attendance having a great time.
The success of this ministry is dependent on people who donate time, money and other resources, who pray for its continued success and who participate in its work. Each of you plays a part. We extend our thanks to you and ask that you continue to be a part of our mission in coming years!
Did you know . . . Disc Golf
On the Heartland grounds, we have a Disc Golf Course for the use of our campers and conference attendees. Disc golf is also sometimes called Frisbee golf. The disc is initially thrown from a tee, and then it is advanced from the spot where it lands until the goal is reached. As with regular golf, there are 18 holes and a par is assigned to each hole. Players compete to take the fewest number of total throws to complete the course.
Save the date 11/3/18!
One of our final 60th Anniversary celebration activities will be our Disc Golf Tournament, scheduled for Saturday, November 3. This would be a great time for you to try out our course or to come back if you have used it before!
